Hey- you guys are both on Facebook so why have a blog?

We decided to create this blog to share our lives together with ALL our friends and relatives- and not just those who, like us, are Facebook junkies. Also though we have many mutual friends and acquaintances, we each also know hundreds of people individually. I have a few friends who have family and/or couple blogs and it's a good way to keep up on news, events, pictures, etc.

The name "Stannie" was branded on us by our friend Steve Bovee as a bit of a joke when we first started going out e.g. Stan+Annie= Stannie. Since then we've owned name and become "Team Stannie"

Though we don't plan to put every mundane detail of our lives here, we will post pictures and stories when we travel, have major events, good times or just randomly feel like it :D Our next big event will be a trip to Spain, Italy and France in August 2009.

I will spend the next few days experimenting with posting pix, writing posts and sending notifications by email to the people we know.

Annie is also and an author on this blog and I will force her to write posts and publish pix as well ;)
